That Summer Feeling

By Leonora Acero and Rina Cruz

Bonding with colleagues outside the office premises can improve the relationship of one another by knowing their own unique traits and respecting each other’s differences.

As summer rolls around, the team of Cebu Depot Operations (CDO) had a summer activity on April 9, 2022 held in three beautiful islands namely: Hilutungan, San Vicente Marine Sanctuary and Sulpa Beach.

At Hilutungan, they swam at the crystal clear waters and enjoyed eating Cebu’s famous lechon as well as puso, sinuglaw at sinugbang pork and fish partnered with boiled camote and banana.

While at San Vicente Marine Sanctuary, they had fun feeding the fish and swimming with them.

Then at Sulpa Beach, they were able to eat the sea urchins they caught.

The CDO personnel who joined this activity were the following: Ms. Aileen Magbanua (Sales Supervisor), Mr. Alexander Aberin (Business Development Supervisor for VisMin), Mr. John Noel Alivio (Product Sales Consultant for Cebu),  Mr. Tan Maiko Gaviola (Product Sales Consultant for Talisay City, South Cebu, Dumaguete & Siquijor), Mr. Elmer Pelayo (Business Development Consultant for Worldcraft), Mr. Bernardo Fegarido (Commissioning Engineer), Ms. Irish Pacada (Project Manager), Ms. Leonora Acero (Branch Admin Supervisor), Mr. Marvin Gorneo (Warehouse Supervisor), Mr. Edilfo Else Jr. (Warehouse Driver), Mr. Joseph Almodiel (Accounting Clerk), Mr. Ricky Aricayos (Warehouse Helper), Mr. Christopher Mendoza (Warehouse Helper), Mr. Ryan Pangan. (Collection & Compliance Assistant), Ms. Marianiza Navares (Purchasing Assistant), Ms. Mary Joy Nguyo (Purchasing Assistant) and Mr. John Maico Mancol (Admin Assistant). Some of them even brought their family members and close friends.

The purpose of this activity is not only to relax and enjoy but also to get acquainted with their colleagues. Although the games they prepared did not push through due to some protocols, they still had fun through swimming, eating and a little chitchat.

They have stayed in these islands for only quite a while but the bond they created will surely remain forever.
