MBI Service Department donates

By Rina Cruz

The Service Department of Multi-Line Building Systems, Inc. donated a 55-inch Smart TV to Lagro High School on September 2, 2022.  The donation is part of their goal to share their blessings with others since they have been receiving quite large amount of project commissions for the past few months.

This television is a great help to the students who are now back to face-to-face classroom setting. The students can use it for presentations, film viewings, tutorials and other school-related stuff. Unlike before that they were only using visual aids, the television can now be much more appealing for them to learn more.

When Mr. Paul William Alberto, the Service Manager, was asked on why they donated a television to Lagro High School, he answered, “After having our typical Monday morning meeting for project updates with the whole team, we started planning for our own department’s Christmas Party. When it’s Vicente Villena’s turn to suggest ideas, he showed us the solicitation letter from the school where his wife teaches. And that is when we came up with the decision to donate. But instead of the usual things like alcohol, rugs, brooms etc., we wanted something special for the students. The choices include electronic devices so we opted to donate a 55-in Smart TV. Nag-ambagan kami ng P1,400.00 each para makabuo ng pambili nito.”

In return, the management of Lagro High School awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to the Service Department for their gratitude on the donation as part of the 2022 Brigada Eskwela with the theme: “Brigada Eskwela: Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral.”

Mr. Alberto also added, “It really feels good to donate. Actually we don’t have any plan of letting the company know but the school wanted to issue a Certificate of Appreciation and take photos of the whole team so we then decided to inform Mr. Dino Maghirang and the HR Department before turning it over to the school representatives.”

Indeed, giving donations to other does not only benefit them; it can be rewarding for you as well.
