NAVARRO, ROCKY RAISEN ANGEL G.

BS Architecture

Rocky Raisen Angel G. Navarro, was born on May 20, 1998. He is the fourth child of Joselito Navarro, a business owner, and Josephine Navarro, a retired pharmacist and entrepreneur. He has three older brothers Harvey, Karl, Robby and one younger sister, Princess.

He faced significant challenges as the first in his family to pursue a career in architecture. His journey was marked by creativity, long periods of hardship, countless sleepless nights, and endless revisions. Despite these difficulties, he never viewed these obstacles as barriers to earning his degree.

As a student at Far Eastern University, he embodied the values of fortitude, excellence, and integrity, which brought him closer to achieving his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. His determination and perseverance, along with the unwavering support of his family, advisers, and colleagues, culminated in his completion of the academic year with the Best Thesis Award for 2024.

This accolade stands as a testament to his hard work and dedication in the field of architecture. Looking forward, he aims to contribute innovative designs to the industry and inspire future generations of architects.

He hopes to establish his own design firm someday, where he can blend creativity with functionality to create lasting architectural marvels.

AR. SHAIRA REYES, UAP

Thesis Adviser

Ar. Shaira Reyes earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Far Eastern University. Her professional experience includes roles as an Architectural Assistant and Studio Design Lead, where she managed and contributed to various hospitality, commercial, and residential projects in both urban and suburban settings.

Guided by her mentors and driven by a deep passion and curiosity, she began teaching at FEU in 2020. There, she taught courses in Architectural Design, Visual Communications and Planning, among others.

In the same year, she completed a Graduate Diploma in Landscape Studies (GDipLS) from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. She advanced her studies at the same institution, obtaining a Master’s degree in Tropical Landscape Architecture (MTLA) in 2023.

Her research works focusing on social science and tropical design within the realm of landscape architecture have been presented at international conferences and published in Scopus-indexed journals.

In 2023, she also took on the role of Thesis Adviser, leveraging on her design and research experience.

AR. ADAM ARGONIA, UAP

Thesis Adviser

Ar. Adam Argonia is an alumnus of the Far Eastern University’s Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts (IARFA). He has been a faculty member in the architecture department for 5 years and has been practicing in the architecture industry for 7 years.

He is passionate about mentoring and honing the potential of students in their research endeavors, guiding them to explore innovative and impactful architectural solutions.

Ar. Argonia is also committed to studying and advancing building material innovations and is continuously seeking to integrate sustainable approaches in the planning and construction phases of his work.
