Multi-Line Building Systems, Inc. (MBI), Multi-Line Structures Corporation (MSC), and WorldCraft Furniture and Fittings Corporation (WC) proudly showcased their smart building systems, architectural products, and healthcare-ready furniture solutions at the 118th Philippine Medical Association (PMA) Annual Convention and Scientific Meetings.

Held from May 14 to 17, 2025, the joint exhibit served as a collaborative platform to present integrated solutions tailored for hospitals, clinics, and other medical institutions. These innovative products and systems were featured at Booths #23 and #24, located in Kamia 1 and 2 of EDSA Shangri-La, Mandaluyong.

MSC’s Architectural Materials for the Medical Sector

MSC Sales Manager (North Area) Luisito Valenzuela became instrumental in securing Multi-Line’s spot at the event. Upon receiving the event invitation from Rey Angeles, Multi-Line president, he prepared the necessary papers and expressed intent to join the exhibit.

Despite catering to a different audience than what they’re used to, the MSC Sales team did not waver in their enthusiasm to provide architectural solutions for medical professionals. “Puro doctors talaga lahat ng nandoon and puro medical equipment ang kailangan nila,” Valenzuela shared.

“Pero ang main objective kasi natin in joining this event ay maaari kasing may doctors na magpapagawa ng sariling hospitals, some of the visitors doon ay owners din ng sarili nilang clinics. We can provide them with the architectural materials they need for their own clinics or hospitals,” he added.

True enough, prospective clients were particularly interested in the Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP) and Wood Polymer Composite (WPC) for their clinics and hospitals’ cladding materials.

A Booth Designed with Healthcare in Mind

As a first-time participant, Multi-Line’s presence highlighted how technology and architecture, with the right materials, can reshape medical environments. Their booth, conceptualized with healthcare functionality in mind, was designed by Ar. Rene John Asa, the MSC business development manager.

With a simple yet strategic design focused on applicable systems for hospitals and clinics, the display emphasized visual demonstrations using Sintra boards, making technical systems easier to understand for medical professionals.

Smart Systems that Prioritize Patient Safety

Aside from sharing their technical expertise, MBI also focused on translating complex technical benefits into tangible advantages for doctors and administrators, such as faster emergency response, better communication, and enhanced facility security.

“We aimed to position ourselves as a reliable partner in enhancing healthcare infrastructure across the country,” MBI Sales Manager Jason Pascual stated.

Their team also encountered challenges in the event, which they quickly resolved with ease. “We also had limited familiarity with the layout and flow of the PMA event, which required quick adjustments to booth logistics and strategy,” he added.

Despite these challenges, the team successfully created an engaging and informative booth experience.

“We recognized this event as an opportunity to connect with a vital and specialized sector in our healthcare facilities,” shared Andrea Ungco, MBI’s OIC Sales Supervisor. “The systems we promoted at the event—FDAS, Public Address, Nurse Call, CCTV, and Access Control—are not just add-ons, but essential components in creating safe, efficient, and well-organized medical environments.”

WorldCraft Furniture Ventures into Hospital-Ready Interiors

Beyond building systems and architectural solutions, Multi-Line Group strengthened their desire to provide the needs of healthcare facilities through WorldCraft Furniture’s new line of hospital furniture.

“I was exploring the possibility of supplying furniture for hospitals. Ar. RJ was the one who found the exhibit and suggested it to me,” WC Sales and Operations Manager Marco Angeles said. “There are a lot of opportunities for furniture and I wanted to explore if we can do that (hospital furniture) as well.”

Jean De Guzman, a product sales consultant from WorldCraft, also shared that there is a demand for hospital furniture across different locations. “There were doctors looking for hospital equipment, including racks for storing medical supplies and hospital beds for their upcoming hospital branches,” she explained.

The People Behind the Booth

The success of the booth wouldn’t have been possible without the dedicated efforts of the Multi-Line team. The Project Implementation Department (PID), composed of Francis Kenneth Billones, Von Kevin Palo, and Roel Donceras, planned the booth’s structure and ensured its functionality, alongside MSC Project Engineer Aaron Michael Dionisio. Lawrence Baldomero handled the estimations for the booth, under the supervision of MSC Engineering Manager Aljun Austria.

Supporting them were Technical Service Group (TSG) Commissioning Engineers Jon Michael Dimafelix, Joemar Buenaventura, and Vincent Uru, who focused on the technical integrations within the booth.

On the ground, workers David Crisostomo, Jeric Austria, and Jefrey Galido worked to bring the design to life, handling the physical construction and installation. Behind the scenes, logistics were efficiently managed by Romualdo Deo, Benjie Tenorio, and John Christopher Sibla, ensuring that materials arrived on time and the setup stayed on schedule.

Building Stronger Connections in Healthcare

The 118th PMA Convention proved that bridging architecture and healthcare is more than just about construction, it’s about understanding user needs and designing for better outcomes.

With their successful exhibit, Multi-Line and its brands unlocked new possibilities, building not just smarter spaces, but stronger partnerships with the medical community.
