MBI Strengthens Its Focus on Closing Government Projects

By Francis Kenneth Billones

The Covid-19 pandemic has hit many businesses including owners, developers, and contractors causing a drop in their sales from 2020 up to present. This effect has been felt by Multi-Line Building Systems, Inc. since big customers: owners, developers and contractors have lied-low in bidding on new projects.

To solve the arising problem of dropping sales of MBI from private companies, MBI strengthens its focus on closing projects through PhilGEPS. The PhilGEPS is the single, centralized electronic portal that serves as the primary and definitive source of information on government procurement. MBI utilized this portal for government bids of FDAS and auxiliary systems, including Escuela tables and chairs, while other competitors are slowly regaining track of their businesses. Product Sales Consultant Elmer Dacula has been designated to focus and work on these government bids.

As of now, Mr. Dacula has closed a total of P25,438,000.00 worth of government projects for FDAS and auxiliary systems including Escuela tables and chairs for the year 2022. P15,000,000.00 of which are FDAS which has been designed and estimated by Systems Design Engineer Bernard Duran under the supervision of Mark Angelo Llamado, the Engineering Supervisor, and Allan De Mesa, the Engineering Manager.

Projects won are for the National Museum of the Philippines, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Commission on Population and Development, Zamboanga Medical Center, Authority of Freeport of Bataan, Palacio Del Gobernador Condominium Corporation, University of the Philippines – Manila and National Telecommunication Commission. Some of these projects are ongoing and being implemented by the Project Implementation Department.

Let us wish MBI to continue to close more projects in private companies and government institutions in 2023.
