A Farewell to Loyal Employees

Last January 20, 2023, Romeo “Cocoy” Ancheta and Art Elechicon was given a Retirement Benefit Ceremony under two different categories – years of service and age retirement, respectively.
The said program was attended by the President of Multi-Line Group of Companies, Aurelio O. Angeles, together with his wife and the VP for Finance and Administration, Ma. Lourdes C. Angeles. Other attendees include Regina Tengco, Bernardo Angeles, all Multi-Line Managers and several staffs.
The program started with a prayer led by Judiel Labrador followed by an intermission number. The main program started with the employment history of the awardees, followed by a heart-warming video message from their previous colleagues. Next were the messages from Marie Rose Euden and Luz Gastillo for Cocoy; and messages from Paul William Alberto, Glenn Oliver Marasigan, and Jonjon Meneses for Art. Right after the encouraging messages was the awarding proper and photo ops of the respective awardees. The program ended with a message from the President.
In the speech of Cocoy, he expressed his deep gratitude to the company in which he dedicated his life serving. “Tunay na isang karangalan at mabigyan ng pagkakataon ang tumayo sa harap ninyong lahat para tanggapin ang parangal na ito. Hindi ko po akalain na umabot ako sa yugtong ito ng aking buhay. Ang parangal na ito ay isang patunay ng aking pagtitiyaga at pagmamahal sa aking trabaho. Nawa’y nakapag-iwan po ako at napaglingkuran ko po kayo ng magandang serbisyo mula sa akin. Ako man po ay ‘di na magpapatuloy sa aking trabaho pero ang lahat ng mga natutunan ko, mga magagandang alaala, kayo pong mga nakatrabaho ko nagbigay ng kabutihan sa’kin ay siyang babaunin ko saan man ako mapadpad. Maraming-maraming salamat po. May God bless you all!” he quoted.
Also, with an interview with Art, he expressed his feelings for the said awarding. “Nagulat ako na may program. Dati kasi wala. Tapos naiyak ako nung nakita ko yung asawa ko na nagsasalita sa video. Nakakatuwa at masaya sa pakiramdam na na-appreciate nila ako sa mga nagdaang panahon. Nagpapasalamat ako na may ganoong pagkilala. Nais kong pasalamatan unang-una si Mr. Angeles. Sobrang mabait at matalinong tao siya. Nagpapasalamat ako sa tiwalang ibinigay niya sa akin. Minsan pinagsasabihan niya din ako. Salamat din kay Sir Dino. Nagpapasalamat ako sa advices niya, technically and sa management. Magaling si Sir Dino. Idol ko ‘yan. Salamat din sa Service Department. Nagpapasalamat din ako sa suporta ng asawa ko at higit sa lahat, sa Panginoon.”
Art wrote a letter to the management requesting for an extension of his work after his retirement and the latter accepted his re-application with the company based on the existing guidelines.
Saying goodbye is a sad thing, especially to a co-worker who is like family whom you spent time for most of your life. We leave a legacy through loyalty and hard work to inspire others.
