Charito Geguiera - The new General Manager of EverFirst

By Kimberly Tianzon

They say loyalty is rare, so if you find one, keep it.

Ms. Charito Geguiera, whose loyalty should never be questioned became EverFirst’s General Manager last April 1, 2023 after serving the company as an Operations Manager for more than 23 years. She was the Operations Manager of EverFirst since February 1, 2000 until March 31, 2023.

She was already working at FMC even before the birth of EverFirst. She started as a General Accounting Clerk on August 23, 1994 until May 30, 1995. She then became a bookkeeper starting June 1, 1995 up to February 5, 1997, and worked her way up to become a Senior Accountant on February 6, 1997 until June 30, 1997.

By July 1997, the owner and founder of FMLC, Mr. Aurelio O Angeles, decided to expand its business by venturing into the lending industry. Ms. Charie as the people of EverFirst call her, very eager and willing to help, lent a helping hand into establishing the company. She became the first ever Supervisor of EverFirst.

Since then, she has witnessed the growth of the company, its ups and downs, its highs and lows. She was there since day one until now. She was there when EverFirst opened its first ever branch in Novaliches, year 1997 until its 100th branch in Doña Soledad, year 2023. No wonder she is often called The Mother of EF by her people. She really nurtured EverFirst until it became what it is today, a successful company that remained true to its purpose since its establishment and that is to serve more people better, faster and at less cost.

Now that she has become a General Manager, she said she’ll continue striving for the better. She wanted her achievements as a GM to exceed or surpass her achievements as an OM. She’s always thankful to the trust given to her. “Nagpapasalamat ako sa tiwalang ibinigay nila sa akin. Ang promotion na ito ay nangangahulugan na may tiwala pa rin sila sa kakayanan ko”, she said. “Makakaasa silang lalo ko pang pagyayamanin itong kakayahan na meron ako”, she even added.

EverFirst is so blessed to have you Ma’am Charie. Your excellence, loyalty, perseverance and hardwork is truly unmatched. Thank you for your unwavering spirit of service!
