Internship is Fun with Multi-Line

By Ralph Aldrin Dacara

An internship is one of the most memorable experiences for a student because it allows them to envision the future that lies ahead in their chosen career. With Multi-Line, interns are accepted with open arms.

Last March 6, 2023, six interns were welcomed by Multi-Line. They are Robert John GalveCkrizjohn MirandaJoshua VicquerraJoshua AmahanJohn Lester Tibar and Honeybabes Espino. All of them are finishing Bachelor in Technical-Vocational Teacher Education major in Electrical Technology at Universidad De Manila.

The said interns were able to work with different departments in Multi-Line: Ms. Espino and Mr. Amahan at Advertising Department, Mr. Tibar at WorldCraft, Mr. Galve and Mr. Vicquerra at IT Department, and Mr. Miranda at MBI Engineering Department.

Last April 28, 2023, they did a rewiring job of LAN cables to replace old LAN Cable in the building. In an interview, Mr. Galve shared his thoughts in the rewiring job they have done.

“We began by shutting off all the power that was connected to the PC. Once the old LAN wiring was removed, we installed new LAN wiring and connected it to all the PCs that connected to the switch. One of the biggest challenges we faced was aligning the wire to look clean and presentable. Despite the challenges, the rewiring job was a success. Overall, this was a valuable learning experience that taught me the importance of careful planning, attention to detail, and teamwork. At first, I feel anxious because it’s my first time working for a company, but at the same time, I feel excited and motivated to learn new skills and gain real-world experience. But as time goes on, I start to adapt to the environment and feel comfortable when I’m working, and one of the reasons for that is my mentors, Sir Christian and Sir Ryan. They guided me through all the work that I’m doing, and for that, I’m always thankful for them”, Galve said.

In a separate interview, Mr. Miranda shared his feelings as an intern. “Here in Multi-Line, especially in Engineering Department, I gain new knowledge every single day. While doing the rewiring jobs, I got a little bit confused because this was my first time to do this task, but fortunately, it turned out as a success. And even though we got tired doing it, we actually had a good time,” Miranda said.

Learning new things while preparing for a future career is a valuable experience for an intern, but learning while having fun creates memories that one will treasure for the rest of their life. One can proudly say that the internship at Multi-Line is enjoyable.
