EverFirst introduces new set of scholars

By Fauline Go

For over a decade, EverFirst Loans Corporation has facilitated a scholarship program for outstanding graduate students from Holy Child Catholic School. Once again, they have granted scholarships to sixteen new students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance.

On October 15, 2024, a contract signing event was held at the Mayaman Training Room, attended by the scholars and their guardians, as well as two graduates who were former EverFirst scholars — Amiel Clark Laguindanum who graduated as Magna Cum Laude, and Natasha Emerald Victorio who graduated as Cum Laude. They were joined by the former principal of Holy Child Catholic School, Ms. Ofel Lomaoig.

The event was also graced by Mr. Rey Angeles, president; Mrs. Ma. Lourdes Angeles, vice president for finance and

administration; Ms. Charito Geguiera, general manager of EverFirst; Ms. Luz Gastilo, HR manager; Ms. Vivian Dajay, HR supervisor of Multi-Line; Ms. Krizia Mae Oliva and Mr. Elyjoy Conde, sectoral operations managers of EverFirst; and Mr. Edgardo Rivera, district manager for District 5 of EverFirst.

The room was filled with gratitude and inspiration as scholars and guardians expressed their heartfelt thanks to EverFirst. The event’s highlight was the inspiring speech by Mr. Rey Angeles, where he shared his career journey leading to the success of the Multi-Line Group. Additionally, two graduates who were former EverFirst scholars shared how the scholarship helped support their financial needs during their college days.

In addition to the current fifteen scholars, the new set of scholars will be provided 9,000.00 pesos allowance every semester for up to a maximum of four years, subject to the terms and conditions of the company. The scholarship is limited to education in state colleges or universities within Metro Manila.

The new scholars are currently pursuing their chosen programs in various state colleges and universities, covering the school years 2023–2027 and 2024–2028, as shown in the table below:

Moreover, subsequent to the retirement of the former principal, the scholarship program will now be coordinated with Mr. Rogene Pangan, the Center for Christian Formation Officer of Holy Child Catholic School.

The EverFirst scholarship program reflects its commitment not only to serving and helping its customers but also to supporting the youth in meeting their academic needs. Who knows? These young people may become the future leaders and influencers of the country, helping others pursue their dreams as well.
