By Francis Kenneth Billones
WorldCraft Furnitures and Fittings Corporation (WC) announced the retirement of one of its most dedicated and long-serving employees, Mr. Marco Antonio Pedro Calderon Angeles. Marco’s retirement, effective May 18, 2024, marks the culmination of a remarkable career spanning decades of service, growth and excellence.
At Multi-Line Group, employees are eligible for retirement benefits upon reaching 55 years of age, provided they have served the company for at least five years, or upon completing 25 years of service, whichever comes first. Marco’s 25 years of service qualify him for these benefits.
Marco’s journey with Multi-Line Group began in 1999, but his relationship with the company dates back even further. Before officially becoming an employee, he served as an on-the-job trainee for both Filipinas Multi-Line Corporation and EverFirst Loans Corporation.
During this time, he undertook roles such as messenger and truck helper, demonstrating his willingness to contribute in various capacities.
Marco’s career includes several key roles that reflect his progression within the company. From 1999 to 2005, he worked as assistant to the president, handling responsibilities such as bank transactions and EverFirst client background checks. In 2005, he became sales manager for the Flooring Division of Multi-Line Design Systems, Inc., overseeing sales operations.
By 2007, he was promoted to overall sales manager, responsible for sales strategies across all divisions. In 2009, he advanced to general sales manager, focusing on revenue growth and strategic initiatives. In 2016, he was appointed procurement manager, where he improved procurement processes and enhanced supply chain efficiency. He is currently the sales and operations manager at WorldCraft Furnitures and Fittings Corporation. Furthermore, Marco has requested to continue his service with the company after retirement, and management has accepted his request in accordance with the company’s guidelines.
