Arya Angeles’ summer job journey at Multi-Line

By Krizia Mae Oliva

Arya Angeles took on the challenge of spending her summer with Multi-Line to gain valuable work experience.

This 12-year-old, who celebrated her birthday on July 1, is an incoming Grade 7 student at Miriam College. She began her work on June 11, 2024, and will finish on July 18, 2024. She worked on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays under the supervision of the advertising and marketing departments of WorldCraft Furniture and EverFirst.

Motivated by a desire to be more productive, Arya applied for the summer job at Multi-Line. “I felt that this summer I should be more productive so that I would have more activities to explore and learn from,” Arya explained.

Throughout her one-month work at Multi-Line, Arya explored several design software tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. These tools allowed her to develop her creative skills and produce impressive digital artworks. Among her creations, her favorite is the layout and design of WorldCraft Furniture’s Astra Lynx locker.

One of Arya’s most enjoyable activities during her summer job was working with Photoshop, which is something she can surely use as she goes into high school. Upon finishing her summer job journey, Arya expressed gratitude to her mentors — Krizia Mae Oliva, Domenick Talay, Friel Lontoc, Cesar Asis Jr and HR manager Luz Gastilo.

According to her, her biggest lesson from this summer job was understanding the principle of hard work. This experience provided her with a good foundation for both technical and soft skills that will benefit her in the future. Because of this, Arya is very excited to help her grandparents, Rey and Bee Angeles, with Multi-Line in the future.
