Employers forum highlights PhilHealth's new EMRRA program

By Ralph Aldrin Dacara

On July 30, 2024, the PhilHealth Corporate Office in Quezon City hosted the Employers Forum, where representatives from private companies discussed updates on collection, reporting and benefits.

A key highlight was the introduction of the Electronic Member Registration and Records Amendment (EMRRA) program. EMRRA is designed to digitize processes that previously required face-to-face interactions, streamlining company transactions with PhilHealth. Also, the event gave emphasis to their new program, Philhealth Konsulta: Kunsultasyong Sulit at Tama, which can be used for consultations, looking for selected laboratories and medicines that are accessible online.

Raquel Rolloque, the Payroll Supervisor at Filipinas Multi-Line Corporation, attended the event on behalf of the company. Reporting to HR Manager Luz Gastilo, Rolloque

noted that EMRRA could significantly improve her department’s efficiency. “Their new program called EMRRA or Electronic Member Registration and Records Amendment is a big help in our work in HR & Payroll. All reports for employees can be uploaded in this program so that face to face transactions will be minimized. Attachments during submissions will be lessened and it will aid faster registration for those who are not yet a member of Philhealth,”  Rolloque said.

This digital shift is expected to benefit HR and Payroll departments by saving time and reducing administrative tasks, allowing staff to focus on more strategic work. The program also promises to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of member records, ensuring that employees receive their PhilHealth benefits promptly.

The Employers Forum emphasized the importance of staying informed about regulatory changes that may affect company operations. As EMRRA rolls out, it offers companies like Filipinas Multi-Line Corporation an opportunity to improve their HR and Payroll processes, ultimately leading to better service for their employees.
