A new chapter for Kuya Alex
By Rina Cruz

Filipinas Multi-Line Corporation (FMC) held a short yet heartfelt Retirement Benefit Awarding Ceremony for Alex Alimorong on October 20, 2025, at the Blue Room of the Calderon Building.
Alex began his journey with Multi-Line on January 22, 2014, when he was hired as a credit and collection driver under FMC. On June 9, 2015, he was transferred to Multi-Line Building Systems, Inc. (MBI) as a sales driver, before returning once again to FMC on May 1, 2016 — this time as the family driver of the Angeles family. From then on, he reported directly to Mr. Rey Angeles, President, and Mrs. Bee Angeles, Vice President for Finance and Administration.
Affectionately called “Kuya Alex” by his fellow employees, he was known for his reliability, humility, and willingness to help others. Beyond his duties as a driver, he also demonstrated skills in gardening, electrical work, plumbing, and even a bit of painting.
Under the company’s policy, employees are eligible to retire once they reach 25 years of service or 55 years of age, whichever comes first. Alex qualified this year based on his age and was granted his retirement benefits.
During the ceremony, the Angeles family also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Alex for being their dependable driver, always ready to assist—even on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. His dedication and consistent support over the years have been greatly appreciated.
When given the chance to speak, Alex humbly shared a touching message: “Magpapatuloy pa rin po sana ako sa trabaho ko, Ma’am, Sir.”
True to the family’s appreciation and trust, Alex’s wish was immediately granted.
The event was a simple yet meaningful reminder of how dedication, loyalty, and heart define the people who make up Multi-Line’s family.
