Enculturation guided the growth and leadership of Christian Rodelas

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the EverFirst Canlubang Branch faced one of its most challenging periods. Limited transportation, health risks, and community restrictions made daily operations difficult. Despite these conditions, then Branch Head Mr. Christian Rodelas continued to lead his team in serving clients with commitment and discipline.

Guided by ENC principles

Mr. Rodelas shared that the principles of Enculturation (ENC)—particularly its purpose of providing dedicated, expert, and honest service—guided him during this critical time. He was reminded that EF’s mission goes beyond profit; it is about serving people and earning their trust. With this mindset, he reported to work daily, even walking more than two hours back and forth to the office due to transportation limits during lockdowns.

Through the application of positive attitude and paradigm shifting, Mr. Rodelas encouraged his team to see challenges as opportunities. He used the Marble Story and the 5Ms of Management as practical tools to keep his reports organized and ensure the smooth flow of operations.

Mr. Rodelas first learned about ENC through training sessions at the Mayaman Office and later in the Calderon Building. A story shared by Mr. Rey Angeles, author of ENC, made a strong impression on him and deepened his understanding of its principles. Since then, he has consistently applied these teachings in his work and leadership.

Living ENC today

Now a District Manager, Mr. Rodelas continues to live by the principles of ENC. He begins each day with love, joy, and peace, and upholds the rest of the fruits of the Holy Spirit in managing his district, believing these teachings have shaped both his career and character.

Today, Mr. Rodelas also serves as an ENC speaker, sharing his experiences to help others understand and apply ENC in their own work.
