Celebrating the retirement of Buan and Bito

By Fauline Go

EverFirst Loans Corporation honored the retirement of two employees whose dedication and commitment have greatly contributed to the company over the years—Ms. Maria Veronica Buan and Ms. Marites Calma.

On July 30, 2025, a retirement ceremony was held at the Mayaman Training Room for Ms. Buan and Ms. Calma. The event was facilitated by the HR department and hosted by Ms. Luz Gastilo, HR manager. It was attended by Ms. Charito Geguiera, general manager; Ms. Armida Jatap, district manager of District 5; Area Supervisors Ms. Jocelyn Dela Cruz and Ms. Aesthrea Iris Tolentino; Approving and Signatory Department Heads Ms. Josefina Evangelista and Mr. Manolito Lungay; and Mr. Rey Angeles, president.

Ms. Buan began her journey with EverFirst on May 11, 2000, as a verifier. She was later transferred to the Approving Department on March 1, 2016, as an approving officer, before being assigned to the role of signatory officer. Her retirement marks twenty-five years of dedicated service to EverFirst. Despite her formal retirement, her hard work and loyalty will continue to be valued, as she has requested to extend her service with the company.

Ms. Marites Calma joined EverFirst on December 1, 2015, as a loan consultant at the Gagalangin branch. Born on July 14, 1970, she retired under the age category upon reaching 55 years old this year. Throughout her tenure, Ms. Calma consistently demonstrated outstanding performance in meeting her monthly quota and in serving clients. She decided to conclude her professional journey at EverFirst effective August 5, 2025.

During the program, both retirees extended their heartfelt gratitude to EverFirst for its trust and appreciation. The event concluded with an inspirational message from Mr. Angeles and a photo opportunity to capture the moment.

EverFirst celebrates their achievements and looks forward to seeing them thrive beyond their careers.
