Jamila Faith is an Architecture graduate at the ISAT University – CEA, she shows a strong passion for sustainable architecture and innovative design. As one of the researchers, she has contributed significantly to the team’s success through her leadership, organizational abilities, and commitment to collaborative problem-solving. Her team’s pursuit of excellence in research and design was recognized through the Best Architectural Research Award – Best Scientific Project Study, reflecting their commitment to producing meaningful and impactful work.
AEJHEY JOASH S. ALAJAR
BS Architecture
Aejhey Joash is an Architecture graduate at the ISAT University, he focuses on sustainable architecture and innovative design. His thesis research team studied sustainable agriculture and renewable energy integration, earning the Best Architectural Research Award. These experiences enhance his knowledge and skills to develop environmentally responsible and community-centered architectural solutions, reflecting his commitment to excellence in research and design.
ZAIRE N. DELA CRUZ
BS Architecture
Zaire is an architecture graduate from ISAT University who is passionate about incorporating modernity with vernacular and sustainable designs. His main focus is about creating intimate residential spaces that seamlessly integrate architecture with the natural environment. His versatility and his passion for learning also allows him to be flexible towards novel styles — enabling him to dive into varied and different projects that are out of his comfort zone.
ARCH. JAN RAE G. BERDEJO
Thesis Adviser
Ar. Jan Rae is a Filipino architect, urban planner, and educator at the College of Engineering and Architecture of ISAT University. He serves as the Principal Architect at JR Berdejo Architecture and Planning. He further expanded his expertise in urban and regional planning through advanced studies, strengthening his involvement in sustainable and community-oriented development initiatives. A practicing architect, he actively engages in architectural education, lecturing on urban issues, sustainable communities, and inclusive design, contributing to resilient environments and advancing architecture and urban planning in the Philippines through professional and academic efforts.
AR. JOHN T. GENTAPANAN
Thesis Adviser
Ar. John is a registered and licensed architect, researcher, and faculty member of the College of Engineering and Architecture at ISAT University a well as the Principal Architect of JTGentapanan-Arkitektura Building Design Services with years of experience in architectural practice. He holds a Master of Science in Architecture with an Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award and is currently pursuing a PhD in Technology Management. As a thesis adviser and member of the Architecture Research Council, he has mentored several award-winning architecture theses and actively promotes sustainable and innovative design research.

PROJECT BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The agriculture and fishery sector in the Philippines, particularly in Capiz, faces significant challenges such as climate-related risks, environmental degradation, limited resources, and declining productivity, highlighting the need for sustainable and resilient food production systems. In response, this study proposes La Íli Ágra: A Self-Sustaining Aquaponics Facility and Training Center, which integrates aquaculture, hydroponics, renewable energy, and community-based education to promote resourceefficient food production and sustainable agricultural practices. Designed as a center for production, research, training, and community engagement, the facility aims to strengthen food security, support local livelihoods, and serve as a replicable model for sustainable development in vulnerable communities across the Philippines.
