BS Architecture

A young girl’s dream became a reality: Zenaida Jayne is a strong-willed architecture graduate from the small municipality of Jose Dalman. She has a deep passion for design and enjoys exploring new ideas through planning and visualization, with a strong interest in universal design, aiming to create spaces that are inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the needs of diverse communities. Driven by curiosity and a commitment to growth, she continuously develops her skills and expertise.

BS Architecture

Born and raised in Dapitan City, Ellah Jasmine took a bold leap of faith by moving to Dumaguete to pursue her lifelong dream of studying architecture. Along her academic journey, she developed a deep passion for creating inclusive and universal spaces that break away from conventional design to serve individuals with disabilities. This profound empathy ultimately culminated in her thesis, which is a visionary proposal for an inclusive school built right in her hometown to prove that great architecture should not just be beautiful but accessible to everyone.

BS Architecture

Elma Joy, pursuing her dream as an architect, embraced the new environment and lifestyle of Dumagueteños that is far different from where she came from: Dipolog City. Adapting has become her edge, and throughout her academic journey, she uses this strength as she finds joy in discovering and adapting to different ideas, tools, and techniques introduced to her. These have become pillars that honed and improved her skills and abilities.

Thesis Adviser

Guided by the belief that architecture must be practiced with purpose and responsibility, Ar. Namika is a dedicated educator and thesis adviser who brings years of professional experience into shaping future architects. Through mentorship grounded in empathy, professionalism, and discipline, they emphasize that the safety and well-being of building users must always remain paramount. Beyond academic guidance, they inspire students to embrace their role as responsible professionals, fostering meaningful lifelong connections and encouraging them to contribute thoughtfully to the built environment and the progress of society.

Thesis Adviser

Ar. Sherwin is a registered and licensed architect, landscape architect, and environmental planner. He received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in architecture from the University of San Carlos in Cebu City. Currently, an Assistant Professor at Negros Oriental State University in Dumaguete City.

PAMATI is an inclusive Grade 1–6 school in Dapitan City designed for the Deaf, Blind, Non- Ambulatory, and General Learners where it addresses the lack of accessibility in existing schools by applying universal design principles. The design focuses on barrier-free spaces, safety, and user-centered planning, ensuring equal access and comfort for all students. It aims to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where learners of all abilities can study together.
