PROJECT BRIEF DESCRIPTION
TANAW: A Proposed Specialized Multi-Sensory Art Museum for Persons with Visual Disability in CALABARZON
TANAW, a specialized Multi-Sensory Art Museum, is an inclusive project that redefines the traditional museum experience by integrating touch, sound, and scent to make art and culture accessible to persons with visual disabilities. Located in CALABARZON, where visual impairment is highly prevalent, the museum promotes equal participation through sensory-based exhibits, accessible design features, and community-led workshops—creating a space where everyone can connect, create, and experience art beyond sight. It enhances inclusivity through barrier-free design and skill-building workshops, while serving as a beacon that inspires communities to embrace accessibility and celebrate art in all its forms.
