Meet the latest additions to the company’s first aid team: Mr. Erickson Perez, FMC’s HR Assistant and Ms. Jennifer Collado, MBI’s Sales and Engineering Coordinator. They completed a Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support – CPR with Automated External Defibrillator Training on December 12 to 15, 2023 and January 8 to 12, 2024, respectively.
Aligned with the goals outlined by the Philippine Red Cross, their training focused on how to: 1) preserve life; 2) prevent further harm and complications; 3) seek immediate medical help; and 4) provide reassurance.
Erickson and Jennifer learned about Cardiac Emergencies, Airway and Breathing Emergencies, Bleeding and Shock, Soft Tissue Injuries, Poisoning, Head and Spine Injuries, Bones, Joints and Muscle Injuries, Medical Injuries, Environmental Injuries, Special Situations, and Lifting and Moving.
Apart from those, they also gained insights on Emergency Action Principles, Philippine Red Cross Services and 7 Fundamental Principles of Red Cross.
Before completing the training, both underwent a written and practical examinations to assess their proficiency.
