The Fruits of Labor

When you have a goal in life, you work hard for it so you will be rewarded with something great. Just like what Mr. Rey Angeles always mention in his email – Ambisyon. Bisyon. Sakripisyon. Komisyon.
Last February 2023, Jason Amida, one of the Project Engineers of Multi-Line Building Systems, Inc., has been rewarded with a 6-digit commission for the projects he had completed for the past years.
Jason, who is under the cluster of PM Rafael Palma and OM Francis Kenneth Billones, has been working in the company for more than 2 years now. The projects assigned to him were Grand Hyatt Hotel, Grand Hyatt Residences 2 and The Montane in which he handled the installation of CCTV and ACS.
Of course, before he was able to attain the fruits of his labor, he encountered different challenges in the project site. According to him, the security team and engineering team of a certain project did not allow him and his workers to perform their daily activities without hindered by the guard on duty since the building was already operational.
But instead of being discouraged, he tried to produce better work output that eventually resulted for the security team and engineering team to finally trust him to perform their work without being monitored. As a result, they were able to finish the project faster.
When asked on what advice he can give to his co-engineers, Jason said, “Ang masasabi ko lang sa kapwa kong PEs ay to believe in yourself… Believe you can and you will… Never give up… A little progress each day adds up to big results… Work hard and always stay humble.”
Jason also mentioned that he is grateful for his workers, PM Rafael Palma, OM Francis Kenneth Billones as well as to Angelo Menor, the Commissioning Engineer, who were always one call away whenever he needs assistance.
