New Approving Officers of EverFirst

By Fauline Go

As EverFirst strives to serve more customers better, faster, and at less cost, four employees from various departments were promoted as Approving Officers, effective June 26, 2023, to contribute their expertise in achieving the common goal of the Signatory and Approving Department and the entire organization.

Two of them were from Operations, namely John Paul Tenedero and Julius Garcia who were Loan Processors from Cainta Branch and Antipolo Branch.

In a short interview, Tenedero and Garcia shared their thoughts about their new positions;

“Mixed emotion, excited with pressure sa aking new position. I know mas mag-gogrow ako as employee, making myself more aware with loan process and looking forward na maging bihasa at maging isa sa mga mentor sa future Approving Officer.” – John Paul Tenedero

“First, allow me to express my gratitude to God for endowing me this position. I am glad because I never really expected that I will be given a chance to be promoted from Loan Processor to an Approving Officer. My thinking is that I am not deserving for this Department and I am only for the Branch because I am not good enough. But the Bible says, ‘There is a time for everything’, there is a right time and right moment. I just believed in God because I know that I cannot do anything without Him. Now that I am in this position, I am glad and looking forward for brand new skills and set of learnings that I will acquire to improve personally and grow as an individual.” – Julius Garcia

Additionally, Camelia Malapad has also taken on the role of Approving Officer. Malapad enthusiastically embraced the challenge and the chance to advance professionally from her previous position as Customer Service Representative. She recognizes that this new role will present unique challenges that will require further development of her skills, including critical thinking, analytical abilities, and leadership qualities. “As an Approving Officer, I may have to handle more complex tasks and make important decisions. I’ll take this chance to embrace the challenges and opportunities that

Moises Carpeso III completes the additional Approving Officers. He joined EverFirst as Loan Processor of Cainta Branch before he became an Assistant Trainer. Carpeso was given an opportunity when he was transferred to Signatory and Approving Department. With his knowledge and experience in Operations and Training, Carpeso will be a huge contribution in the team. “This opportunity is a testament to my hard work, dedication, and the skills I have developed over time. It is a validation of my efforts and a recognition of my contributions to the organization. Even though I do not expect this path but I believe this is the will of God. As the Bible says, ‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose’. This promotion not only brings a sense of accomplishment but also a new set of responsibilities and challenges. I am very eager to take on this elevated role and make a positive impact on the team and the company as a whole. It provides me with a platform to further grow professionally, expand my knowledge, and showcase my leadership abilities. While I am proud of this achievement, I also recognize that with greater authority comes greater accountability. I am committed to embracing this responsibility and ensuring that I lead by example, inspire my colleagues, and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment,” he stated.

As recently appointed Approving Officers, Tenedero, Garcia, Malapad, and Carpeso share a common objective of ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in the approval and processing of loans. Under the guidance of their new Signatory and Approving Head, Manolito Lungay, the team is committed to delivering their utmost performance, wholeheartedly dedicating their minds, hearts, and actions to their roles. They are determined to excel and fulfil their responsibilities to the best of their abilities.
